After an intervention or an accident, it is possible to present an unsightly or embarrassing scar. Under certain conditions, it is possible to perform cosmetic surgery on the scar in order to make it more discreet. Any scar is permanent, there are techniques to hide them and make them less visible but in no case to make them disappear. A scar appears when the deep dermis has been damaged. Often times, with a superficial injury, the skin will scar completely so as to leave no traces. Scars change over time; it usually takes 1 to 2 years to assess the quality of a scar after surgery.
