Plethysmography is a method used to measure changes in the volume of veins and arteries, depending on the volume of blood supplied to them. To perform this test, a cuff and a sensor are placed on the patient's finger or big toe. This exam primarily assesses the severity of arterial occlusive disease of the limbs.
