Frenulum surgery of the lip or tongue

Maxillofacial Surgeon

This intervention consists of moving or lengthening a badly positioned brake. This intervention is most often performed under local anesthesia in external surgery. Lip or tongue brakes are important but sometimes poorly positioned or too short.
There may be an indication to perform a surgical gesture to lengthen them, or move them when there is a functional impact for food, phonation or dental malposition at the request of an orthodontist.
