Evacuation of an intra-intracranial hematoma in Fes

Neurosurgeon

Intracranial hematomas are accumulations of blood inside the brain, or between it and the cranium. Intracranial hematomas are formed when a head trauma causes blood to collect inside the brain, or between it and the cranial case. Surgical treatment involves a craniotomy with the creation of a trephine hole which allows the collection to be evacuated. The abundant washing associated with the injection of physiological serum by the intrathecal route allows good cerebral expansion. Postoperative subdural siphoning is required for 48 to 72 hours.
