Hepato-biliary scintigraphy is an imaging technique in nuclear medicine which makes it possible to evaluate the functioning of the hepato-biliary tract. It allows to:
-Etiologic diagnosis of neonatal jaundice.
-Neonatal diagnosis of bile duct atresia.
-Assessment of the permeability of bilio-digestive anastomoses.
-Early diagnosis of sclerosing cholangitis.
-Diagnosis and above all post-therapeutic evaluation of Oddian dysfunctions.
-Assessment of segmental hepatic function before resection surgery.
