Fallopian tube ligation is a definitive, permanent and irreversible surgical procedure. Its goal: to prevent the eggs and sperm from accessing the tubes. Its indication: adult woman of childbearing age wishing a permanent tubal sterilization as a definitive and irreversible means of contraception. The operation can be performed in several ways, but the most common is by laparoscopy:
