Uterine polyps or myomas are growths that develop at the expense of the lining of the uterine body (endometrium) or at the expense of the lining of the cervix (endocervix). These growths are benign tumors.
They can be single or multiple.
Their resection is done either by laparoscopy, by hysteroscopy or by abdominal surgery.
