Tests de bronchodilatation ou de reversibilité in Meknes

Pulmonologist

Spirometry measuring the response to rapid-acting bronchodilators is a key diagnostic element in the assessment of obstructive syndromes and should be performed routinely. It is useful in distinguishing asthma from COPD and helps to grade the severity of the obstruction in COPD.
The doctor determines the number of puffs of the bronchodilator the patient should take, and then, about 15 minutes later, a new FVC test is done. The result is then compared to the first test (without bronchodilator).
Based on the difference between pre- and post-bronchodilator FEV1, the doctor will be able to determine if the obstruction is reversible.
