Ultrasound is a painless, non-invasive exploration technique that uses ultrasound (US) to view organs except those that are calcified (bone) or that contain air (lung and digestive structures). It allows the detection of many organic diseases by highlighting abnormalities in the size, shape or appearance of the tissues studied. The different types of ultrasound are:
-Abdominal (liver, kidneys, spleen, pancreas....)
-Pelvic (uterus, ovaries, bladder)
-Prostate
-Thyroid
-tendons, muscles, and joints
-salivary glands
-Testicular
