nerve injury

Dear Doctor
I had an injury 2 days ago while the nurse was inserting the cannula for me in the area of the anatomical snuff box slightly going distal to it. I experienced a very sever pain with numbness and and tingling in the thumb

What your are describing correponds to an injury of the median nerve, it is highly recommended to see a neurologist so he can perform an EMG.
