ELECTRORETINOGRAPHY (E.RG.) is an examination that tests the correct functioning
of your retina.
This exam is particularly indicated for:
- specify the diagnoses in the event of retinal diseases,
- monitor your retina if you are taking certain medicines, which without your knowledge may
seriously interfere with operation.
In practice, the retina is stimulated by lights (flash) and the electrical activity of visual cells
retinal is collected with electrodes placed on the skin (as for a
electrocardiogram) and special contact lenses placed over your eyes.
