It is a tumor of the cochleovestibular nerve, the nerve for hearing and balance, called acoustic neuroma or vestibular schwannoma. The risks of its development require its ablation. Neuroma is a benign, non-cancerous tumor. The evolutionary risks of this tumor are linked to its deep location between the bone of the rock where the ear is located, on the one hand, and the brain and the cerebellum, on the other. Deafness, tinnitus (wheezing or ringing in the ears) and balance disturbances are the main initial manifestations of the tumor.
