Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the dermis, providing hydration to the skin. Its proportion decreases with age (drops from 50% at age 50), the skin becomes dehydrated and loses tone. Marketed in injectable form (Restylane®, Juvederm®, XHA3 by Filorga®, Teoxane®, etc.), hyaluronic acid is the safest filling product because it is natural and biodegradable (absorbable).
