Hello,
I just wanted to ask, if an adult female (24y.o) is showing symptoms of autism and wants to make sure if she have it or not, what kind of test does she have to do? what kind of doctor does she have to check? How long does it take for her to know? (because I heard that it's harder to spot autism in adult females compared to males or children because they get really good at masking by the time [I don'tknow if it's true or not])

ASD in women is not well diagnosed while frequent ,and the symptoms of autism in women are different from the classic pattern observed in autism , this is why the diagnosis is delayed . I think she should talk consult a psychiatrist and the full check up of her child and adolescent history will help her , you ask about tests , there is specific tests like CARS and Asd spectrum but they are for children , however there is a pattern of symptoms that can be observed and so the diagnosis can be made
