Phosphate reabsorption test

Nephrologist

Phosphate diabetes is due to a renal leakage of phosphorus, by disorder of its transport: it can induce the formation of calcium lithiasis.
Leakage of phosphorus is responsible for reactive hypercalciuria. In fact, this inappropriate renal leakage of phosphorus causes compensation in the tubule by activating tubular vitamin D, which promotes digestive reabsorption of calcium.
