Salivary endoscopy in Marrakech

Otolaryngologist (ENT)

Diagnostic sialendoscopy is the endoscopic exploration of the submandibular gland, (or submandibular, salivary gland located under the horizontal part of the jaw) or of the parotid gland (salivary gland located in front of and under the lobule of the ear) . Its purpose is to identify an obstacle within the affected salivary gland. If a stenosis of the canal (narrowing of the duct) or a small lithiasis (calculus) is identified, an interventional sialendoscopy will aim to remove the obstacle. Sialendoscopy allows: - Explore the main salivary tract for lithiasis (calculus), stenosis (narrowing) or inflammation. - To extract any lithiasis - Inject a treatment with corticosteroids and antibiotics to treat local infection and inflammation.
