Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) implantation

Cardiologist

The principle of CRT is to reduce the asynchrony of myocardial contraction by placing a cardiac pacemaker connected to stimulation probes implanted in the right cardiac chambers and the left ventricle (LV) (generally via a branch of the sinus coronary). This resynchronization function can be coupled with an automatic implantable defibrillator function, indicated in the prevention of sudden death.
