Placement of endourethral prosthesis (prostatic stent)

Urologist

Stenosis of the urethra is a narrowing of the canal, single or multiple, more or less extensive. It can have as consequences the appearance of a discomfort in the evacuation of the bladder or frequent and urgent urges to urinate. It can be secondary to infection or trauma to the urethra. Placement of an endourethral prosthesis involves placing a metal mesh or coiled tube in the urethra. This prosthesis allows urine to flow freely outward while keeping the urethral canal open.
