Ophthalmologist

An implant is a phakic implant if the lens is left in place during myopia surgery. It can be located either in front of the iris (anterior chamber implant) or behind the iris (posterior chamber implant). The interest of phakic implants is to preserve a clear lens and therefore accommodation and to respect the retina.
